The Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games are being planned with accessibility at the forefront. All venues will be fully ADA-compliant, with enhanced features including wheelchair seating with companion areas, accessible entrances and pathways, accessible restrooms, assistive listening systems, and sensory-friendly spaces.

Wheelchair & Accessible Seating
Every venue offers dedicated accessible seating options
All LA 2028 venues provide wheelchair-accessible seating integrated throughout the venue, not isolated to a single section. Accessible seats offer unobstructed sightlines and are available at multiple price points.
Seating Features:
- Wheelchair spaces with adjacent companion seating
- Transfer seating for guests who can transfer from wheelchair
- Aisle seats with removable armrests
- Seats with extra legroom and wider aisles
- Accessible seating at all price levels
- Clear sightlines, not obstructed by railings
How to Request:

Companion Tickets
Guests purchasing accessible seating can request up to 3 companion tickets at no additional cost. Companion seats are located adjacent to the accessible seating space.
- How it works: Select number of companions needed during ticket purchase
- Pricing: Companion tickets are same price as accessible seat (no premium)
- Seating: Companions sit directly next to accessible space
- Requirements: No documentation required; honor system for genuine need
Ticket Purchase Assistance
LA28 will provide a dedicated accessibility ticketing line for guests who need assistance purchasing tickets or have specific seating questions.

Accessible Transportation
LA Metro Accessibility
All Metro trains and stations are wheelchair accessible
LA Metro is one of the most accessible public transit systems in North America. All rail lines, stations, and buses are 100% wheelchair accessible with elevators, ramps, and designated seating areas.

Olympic Enhancement: During the Games, Metro will deploy additional staff at major stations to assist passengers with mobility needs. Accessible routes to venues will be clearly marked with signage and wayfinding assistance.
Accessible Rideshare & Paratransit
Uber WAV & Lyft Access
Both Uber and Lyft offer wheelchair-accessible vehicles (WAV) in Los Angeles. These vehicles can accommodate wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility devices.
- Uber WAV: Select "WAV" option in app. Ramp-equipped vehicles, no extra charge.
- Lyft Access: Wheelchair-accessible rides. Same price as standard Lyft.
- Availability: Limited WAV supply; request 30+ minutes in advance when possible
- Games period: LA28 working with rideshare companies to increase WAV fleet
Metro Access (Paratransit)
LA Metro operates Access Services, a door-to-door paratransit service for individuals unable to use regular public transit due to disability.
- Eligibility: ADA paratransit certification required (can apply in advance)
- Service area: Within 3/4 mile of Metro lines
- Booking: Schedule 1-7 days in advance
- Cost: $2.75 per ride (same as Metro fare)

Accessible Taxis
Los Angeles has several taxi companies with wheelchair-accessible vehicles. These can be pre-arranged or hailed like regular taxis.
- Bell Cab: Wheelchair-accessible fleet. Pre-book recommended.
- Independent Taxi: WAV vehicles available. Call ahead.
- Yellow Cab LA: Limited accessible vehicles. Advance reservation required.
Accessible Parking
All Olympic venues will have dedicated accessible parking spaces close to entrances. Parking must be reserved in advance and requires valid disability placard/plate.

Service Animals
Service Animal Policy
Service animals are welcome at all LA 2028 Olympic venues
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals are permitted at all Olympic venues. LA28 will provide amenities to support guests traveling with service animals.
Service Animal Definition:
Under ADA, a service animal is a dog (or in some cases, a miniature horse) that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. Emotional support animals are not considered service animals under ADA.
What's Allowed:
- Service dogs at all venues and events
- Service miniature horses (case-by-case)
- Service animals on Metro trains and buses
- Access to all public areas of venues
- Service animal remains with handler at all times
What's Required:
- Service animal must be under handler's control
- Leashed or harnessed at all times
- Housebroken and well-behaved
- Handler responsible for animal care
- No documentation required, but may ask if animal is service animal and what tasks it performs
Service Animal Amenities
Olympic venues will provide designated service animal relief areas, water stations, and rest areas.
- Relief areas: Outdoor designated spaces near venue entrances with waste disposal
- Water stations: Bowls and fresh water available at guest services and relief areas
- Rest areas: Shaded areas for service animals to rest between events
